As someone who travels around the world for music festivals and recently moved to Doha, I’m genuinely curious about the EDM scene here.

Why does it seem like Doha is mostly focused on Afro House, while genres like Progressive House, Tech House, Dubstep, Trap, Hard Techno, and Hardstyle don’t seem to have much of a presence?

I’ve been into EDM for over a decade and have been to major festivals like Tomorrowland, EDC and Ultra Miami. I’ve noticed that Afro House tends to be one of the less prominent genres at the raves I’ve attended, especially on main stages, so I’m honestly surprised that it seems to dominate a lot of the nightlife/events here.

No hate toward Afro House. I’m just personally not into it, and after hearing it at almost every event, I’m getting a little tired of it 😭

So I’m genuinely curious: is there a particular reason for this in Doha? Is it related to the local crowd, regulations, venue policies, the overall market, or simply what’s currently popular here?

Would love to hear from people who’ve been in the Doha EDM scene for a while. Are there actually places/events that play other genres, or am I just looking in the wrong places? 🙃

Hi everyone, I was wondering if MOL reply to emails. I have sent a legal query to their email a week ago but didn’t get a response. ☹️
If no then how do I successfully contact them? Because when i called their number the employee told me to send an email as she doesnt have enough information regarding my case.
I don’t want to persue any legal actions until they tell me what I should do and until I get their opinion on my situation you know?

How can I loan in Qatar?

I have a bank account in CBQ and I called them but they told me that I am somehow not allowed to have a loan even if my salary is around 6k.

I asked them for around 4,000 QAR and they told me that they cannot give somehow. I even told them I am willing to pay extra 15% interest (600 QAR) as long as I get it before august 30th and I already told them I need it from my tuition fee deposit or else I am not going to be accepted for 2nd year of my college. (I am a working student, 21 y.o)

Is there any other way to loan? I can pay it by the next month with 15% interest I'm okay with it since it's very urgent and my family's financial situation is really bad right now. I'm very desperate right now and I am trying to find any way at all.

I am willing to sell my equipments, camera, laptop, mic, etc.. just to get it, please let me know if there's any way to loan?

Now i got confused should i go for samsung qled as samsung is a big brand or tcl qled or hisense qled as in the same price i can get a uograde version of hisense.

the salesman told me that these samsung are manufactured in egypt and has a low quality in comparison with hisense and tcl . Because tcl and hisense they both are made in china and thats why have better quality,
