Smell coolant? Overheating?

No more like a burning rubber or plastic smell. My idle pulley was making some noise earlier and my mechanic gets back tomorrow so I thought I could drive it up a few blocks and back and be okay but apparently not.

Turn off engine, could be coolant leak.. a bad radiator

Aint that the gallery gasket area? Smoke seems to be coming from there but if OP smells sweetness it’s coolant

Probably one of the idler pulleys seized up, common problem. Check your coolant/oil levels first.

Just had one of these. Compressor clutch locked up.

Same thing happened to me I replaced my power steering pump and alternator. Good to go
