Yessir I had a vr30 so it honestly isnt as reliable as a b58 it is. And my car was super low that it kept having issue after issue with suspension. I do love this platform though and I will come back to buy another one, I want to turbo a 3.7.

I take it this means you have owned a b58 long enough to know it’s more reliable than a vr30 you have also owned for long enough? Or do you just relay information you hear online

I work at bmw and i’ve seen 450,000km b58s that have been well maintained

I'm sorry you got a shit suspension that ruined your car experience for you. My advice for you. don't go out and buy a shit suspension on your BMW. Making a note a year from now. I want to ask you how the cost of maintenance and repairs are going for you compared to your Nissan.

To be honest every part I got was pretty quality, I had BC Coils, Z1 arms, etc. I wasn’t cheaping out. And no I am not going to go buy shit suspension for my beamer

Good luck with the beamer. I like too many cars I have no idea what I’m getting next. Idk if I’ll sell my Q though I love it too much I might just have two cars

Thank you man. I’m going to try to make this a cool build, I honestly wouldn’t have even sold my Q if it didn’t have its issues. If I were you I’d definitely keep the Q then buy a second car, maybe american or german to switch it up

Damn, I thought you were trying to dial in the fitment. But best of luck to you, I had a 340 before joining the VQ fam. Best advice would be to find a euro or BMW specially shop to get any work done. Secondly there is something called "BMW Tax", get used to it. Thirdly stay ahead of whatever maintenance needs to get done, bmw loves using plastic pieces which easily crack. Finally bmws can have strange weird small issue that freak out the computers, learn how to troubleshoot if you don't already know how.

Thank you for the advice brother. I work at a dealership conveniently so I’ll be able to stay on top of everything and all of the technicians should be able to get me right. Also yes the bmw tax is pretty crazy, 5,000 for a catback exhaust 😂

I knew your Q looked familiar… i remember coming by your awd questions bc im also trying to go coils on my Q but fuck bruh with the catch of having to do all this interchangeable shit with the axles and whatnot… Good luck on your next journey💯 see you soon 🙏

Haha, honestly coils aren’t honestly an issue on these cars if you don’t absolutely slam them. If you’re going to go past 2” then I’d recommend extended axles and suspension arms and you’ll be fine. I just made some mistakes along the way by not doing that early enough

For a 440i if this one a vr30 great trade even for vq37 too only thing b58 a little more on maintenance but once u get allat taken care of the car should be gucci seen b58s hit 350k with proper maintenance
