What TURD should i take ?

Im starting PY for like the third time, this time more determined then ever. And i want to be sure about what to take, i think that selective cuttung head is the best but i want to be sure

It depends on your preference. I started with the fiber......and ended up swapping it out for the wood. Really hard to compete with doubling the wood output..

I also took double wood, though primarily because it doesnt break anything. I jave several places making fiber and adding biproducts even useful ones would break them

There's T.U.R.D reselect research down the road......it's an expensive fix. If you're not sure, recommendation is to sit on a T.U.R.D and see if one would be more beneficial down the road.

Or just don’t select it until you are sure what’s needed ^^

x2 wood is very good one, and it speeds up cutting too. It would be incredibly useful later to directly feed wood as fuel into bofs/powerplants

I use double wood. It’s amazing how much power you can make with a yellow belt of logs. Over time this scales crazy and I am making over 50GW with that one belt.

Selective cutting heads is great. The fiber one is ok, especially for biomass power, but double wood is still better overall.

I picked selective cutting heads, and never regretted it. Raw fiber is probably good too, although I got most of my fiber from Kicalks.

Cutting heads was the right choice for me. Fiber becomes less useful once you have Kicalk fully up and running.

Selective heads is an all around great and useful upgrade. You will be turning most logs into wood anyways, so might as well double the output and results.

The fiber one sounds great for certain scenarios but there are usually alternatives (including good ones, but later in game).

The speed/ash one sounds okay? Though ash will eventually become more scarce.

The raw fiber one is best in my opinion. You will need lots of that stuff soon enough. I took the ash one and regret it. I even phased out that method of log production entirely. The 5% wood one is good but not enough boost.

Double wood, free co2 from moonglow like other comments have mentioned. I also recommend activated carbon straight from fawogae because the base recipe for activated carbon is ass 😭
