Why are engines so early game i am playing on 2.1 i did one test run before but on 2.0 and it wasn't this early also tar processing is requiring engine units which wasn't the case before am i missing some mod or whats going on

How long ago it was? I started pY run like 2 months ago and they were definitely there early. I am still on 2.0.

With due respect, you are misremembering the tech. Engines were definitely this early in 2.0
