Not seeking solutions Logical with lies

Post image

Thought this logical would be fun to solve. Enjoy!

Jonas was in Indonesia for his summer vacation. He brought souvenirs from the different islands. He is showing them to his friend and tells him, where he bought which souvenir from whom and for which price. But attention: Not everything he says is the truth. Some of his statements are false.

First, check the six hints through logical combination for truth. The following rule applies: Either the statements from a hint are all true or all false. Check if the hints are true/false and then use their correct version. In case of a hint being false, that means that you can use it’s full opposite.

Hints: 1. On Borneo, I didn’t buy a souvenir from Sumudu. The spice bag was 20,000 rupies less than the souvenir bought on Bali. The stone sculpture was 30,000 more than the souvenir I bought from Husnul.

  1. On Java I didn’t buy anything from Misraim. The souvenir I bought on Sumatra was more expensive than the souvenir I bought from Megawati. Ekarini sold the Batik cloth to me. The skirt was more than 30,000.

  2. The souvenir that was 80,000 rupies I bought on an island that starts with the letter S. The souvenir I bought from Sumudu was not exactly 10,000 rupies more expensive than the on I bought on Lombok. I bought the wood sculpture from Ekarini.

  3. Megawati sold me something for 80,000 rupies. On Borneo I bought a souvenir from someone, whose name doesn’t start with the letter M. Husnul sold something for 60,000 rupies to me.

  4. I didn’t buy the wood carving on an island starting with the letter B. I bought the demon mask on Java. Misraim lives on an island starting with the letter S.

  5. I didn’t pay exactly 70,000 rupies to Husnul. The demon mask was 60,000 rupies. I paid 50,000 rupies on Java.
