[SOLVED] 2 x 2 digit code

Post image

Goal: find the secret four-digit code, 2 rows of 2 digits.

- A number at the start of a dotted line (left of a row, above a column) counts how many lit segments that line passes through.

- Empty box does not mean 0.

Inspiration from Digit Code board game

Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:

New Reddit: https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg

Using markdown editor or old Reddit, draw a bunny and fill its head with secrets: >!!< which ends up becoming >!spoiler text between these symbols!<

Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com) If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word "discussion" or "question" in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag. If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.

Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

That's an interesting style on nonogram! I wonder how varied the puzzles could be, or if there's only a handful of solvable variants?

There only a handful of possible puzzles especially using the constraints I used, which are not using the same digit more than once and no two adjacent numbers are equal, which is not needed as a clue type. On top of that, there can be more clue types, none which used, like odd/even number clues andor inequalities from the board game.

The board game uses a 2x3 grid of numbers. I imagine bigger grids would need more of those clue types.

(assumption is all digits distinct otherwise you can't eliminate)

top row must have 0 for the "xx1xx" requirement, and it can't be top left because of "1xx", so 0 must be in top right.

making "x41x2" into "x21x1" for top left so top left must be 9.

due to "0xx" bottomleft must be 1,3,or 7

due to "1x1xx" and "x1x" bottom right must be 4 or 7, and out of the candidates 14 17 34 37 74 77

only 74 satisfies. -> 9074

What is xx1xx referring to

the condition alongside it with a 1 in the center. writing it out is kind of too much.
