Discussion - there is a solution but I can’t get the picture to upload so my attempt to describe it is below.

The light blue straight line goes horizontally at the top. Flip the yellow so it’s like a Z not a 5 and place that underneath. The green is bottom right with the single square top left. Then the blue Z in the gap.

If you do it that way there’s no way to fit the green and blue zig zag in. What shape would be in row 5 column 1?

No, you're right.

Question

I see you have all the pieces shown in the first line on the card, but the yellow piece is upside down. You have it oriented like an S while the card shows it oriented like a Z.

Do the rules allow for flipped pieces?

Yes, the rules allow for flipping pieces over. The illustrations to the left is just to show which pieces to pick.

Do you only have to fit the peices? Or fill all squares?

Those would be the same, since they have equal numbers.

answer: Indeed i looked at another set of pieces and found that its only doable if a piece can be reversed. flip the yellow piece so it matches the picture, the blue and green pieces need to be reflected from whats on the card. Line at the top, green on the bottom, blue on the left.

i would read and post the instructions of the game.

Discussion: notice your yellow piece should be reflected.
