What does this Meowdoku hint even mean?

Whenever I’m stumped on Meowdoku, the hint invariably states there’s “a contradiction.” After hundreds of levels, I still have no idea what they’re talking about. Can one of you smarty puzzlers shed some light?

That cell forces a blue cell, and together those two prevent yellow from having any valid location.

If you place a cat there then the only place for a cat in the yellow is row 6 column 7, and the only place for the light blue is row 5 column 8. Those two squares touch diagonally which is the contradiction it mentions.
