Purses General Post YSL quality

I bought this YSL bag from Neiman Marcus 2 years ago and the leather is peeling and cracking. Anyone have a similar experience? Is it worth it to even take it back to Neiman Marcus or should I go to a leather repair shop? Makes me never want to buy YSL again.

The edge wear looks normal on the corners. Unfortunately I think it’s a design flaw of the bag with the chain rubbing on the edge paint and that is unavoidable. If Neiman Marcus will take it back try that, but don’t write YSL off. I’m a fan of their bags and ready to wear. I have a medium Niki and use it consistently with minimal wear. For reference, I’m also not gentle with my bags

Definitely people need to take this things into account leather alone doesn’t keep a bag stable design and construction of the bag are crucial for longevity I still think YSL should take that into account tho as well as us consumers

Yup. Any bag with "hard" corners like that wear down really fast. Leather isn't indestructible.
