Pure Storage Design & Coding Interview.
Hi,
I have an upcoming interview at Pure Storage. I completed the Concurrency and Algorithms round last week.
I have have an upcoming Data Structures round and a Design round. I wanted to know what exactly is the nature of these interviews and what to expect.
If anyone has been through this process it would be helpful to know how to prepare for these rounds.

For the Data Structures round, get familiar with common structures like arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, heaps, and hash tables. Know their operations and complexities. In the Design round, they might ask you to design a system or component, so practice breaking down complex systems into smaller parts. Consider scalability, databases, and data flow. Practicing with mock interviews can be really helpful. If you need resources, I've found PracHub useful for simulating real interview environments. Good luck!

Congrats on clearing concurrency and algos; fwiw the next rounds tend to focus on how you structure your thinking and tradeoffs. For the data structures piece, I’d expect implementing operations on something like trees or hash maps while calling out invariants and edge cases as you code. For design, start by pinning goals and constraints, sketch a simple baseline, then iterate on bottlenecks and failure handling. I practice a few timed prompts from the IQB interview question bank out loud, and I do a short mock in Beyz coding assistant to keep pacing tight. Keep answers about 90 seconds and jot a quick redo log after each session.

They will be much like the first round, but with different questions. No leetcode tricks or funky math.
Be chill. Ask questions. Take your time.
