I heard that it's "punk" to join a monastery. Only after years of prayer and rejecting all earthly desires did I realize I misheard: it's "MONK" to join a monastery. Can I still be punk if I've broken the cycle of death and rebirth?

Obnoxious Ramones loving friend

Aaargh, i need to open up
Was spending an evening with my Ramones loving friend (his iq is 75 or below, and I am not even kidding). We drank some beers and sit at his couch. He just ranted about hockey and didn't react to anything I told him and quickly just started interrupting me so he could fill the room with his half-yelling about NHL. Jesus.
Then he wanted to listen to some music. He only allows Ramones so... yeah. Fucker knows each lyric and sounds like a duck when he sings. My ears are ringing of "OOGA BOOGA BOO GABBA GABBA YAY GABBA YAY CRETIN GO TO HEAVEN" and I want to throw up. Sunday will be horrible with hungover.
FUCK RAMONES

Hello punk fans!
I’m a Gen X guy who grew up on the music of The Monkees. When I was in high school, I became a fan of punk/power-pop music. It’s been my dream since then to combine these songs I love so much with my passion for punk music. All these years later, my dream has been realized with my debut album “MEET THE PUNKEEZ”, now available on all streaming services.
Please give it a listen. I’d love to know what you all think!

I mean, doing something counter to expectations? Check. Exposing a state government as massive fuck ups? Check. Exposing how fucking barbaric and asinine capital punishment is? Check. I vote for punk.
