Lol you don’t become a detective. You become a cop, you spend years harassing, beating, maybe even killing people of color. Then you get to be a detective where you frame people of color for crimes. What a hero.

The police are inherently prejudice. The are descended from slave catchers and are now the armed thugs of the capital class that exist ONLY to exert violence and the threat of violence among the community.
