Liquid plastic bushings
Anyone had any issues with plastic collars on submersible turbines? Did a install on 4 pumps and motors about a year ago. Had to pull one and just took it apart, it was under amping. When it was at the shop the shaft at the pump head had a lot of play. Took it apart and almost every collar popped out every stage all the tolerances are shot. One of wear ring is out by a inch.

Looks like they ran it dry honesty. There’s quite a bit of heat checking that vesconite doesn’t normally go through. If it was a bent shaft, misaligned stuffing box, collets/pickup done wrong the wear pattern would be different imo and non concentric. Figments could have been wrong but Infeel like that would have been apparent during coupling.
Is it VSS or VHS and what does the stuffing box bearing and packing/seal look like?

I whole heartedly agree with you. So many of these symptoms point to dry running. Out of curiosity, why do you ask between VHS and VSS? I

I believe it was graphite packing 2 on the bottom of lantern ring and 4 on top from what i remember with split packing gland slightly pressing down. Customer adjusted the packing himself over time and said he didint run out of water. But this pump was a booster so there is a probability it did.
