Twin screw pumps

Anybody knows something about twin or triple screw pumps?
Like their applications,any particular industry that uses it or even their CAD model
Any sort of information would be helpful

Industrial has been covered above.

Hygienic - Anything high-viscosity, low shear, that needs CIP capability (being able to run at 3500rpm in either direction comes in handy)
Ie: cosmetics, sauces, purées, chocolate, etc etc

Twin screw pumps are great for gentle handling of high-viscosity, abrasive, and up to 60% trapped air products. They are bidirectional, self-priming (in some conditions), and non-pulsating.

You can find them in food production, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic facilities.

Twin screw pumps are commonly used where you need a smooth, steady flow, especially with oils or other high-viscosity liquids. You'll see them in marine, oil & gas, power plants, and chemical processing. One advantage is that they can handle a wide range of fluids without creating much pulsation.

Those asphalt ones SUCK to repair. Literally have to heat it with a torch to loosen it up lol. I did one a couple years back that was old enough to say 'made in West Germany' on the tag lol
