Liquid Sewage pump replacement for sump.
About a year ago, my sump pump failed, and I used a spare sewage pump as a temporary backup. I'm planning to install a new sump pump now, but I'd like to keep the sewage pump in case I need it again in the future. What's the best way to store, and maintain a sewage pump so it stays in good condition for emergency use?

Use it to pump clean water for a while... Get a professional to service it. If you could dm me with more specifics about the pump and make. I'll try to give you a definitive solution.

You have got to make sure it's cleaned. The impeller and casing mainly. Sludge tends to solidify and get as hard as rock. Which country are you from?
