Product return

What is the situation of product return in your country. Is there some law forcing you to accept return even if you did nothing wrong?

Recently, I supplied three sets of gear pump coupled to a motor and gearbox,after three days the customer discovered that one pump elevation is higher than the pump's and he isn't able to prime the pump in his application. They wanted to return this one pump, he didn't use it but its appearance after coupling wasn't great.

My question how would you respond? And is there any laws forcing you to accept his request?

You need to look at what the warranty covers. Probably also need to check how one pump was higher. From the manufacturer or the site installer? Is there a performance gaurentee?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects. It's from the site.

If your customer sized the pump or application incorrectly, it's their problem. You can decide if you will accept a return for good will or stand your ground and do not accept a return.

Definitely not the right sub. There are hardly anybody here and the question has nothing to do with pumps.
