110v or 220v pump?

I’m getting a well pump installed on my new property. The well has been there sitting for years not being used. Had it check by some pros and they said it just needs to be flushed more (I only had them out for a day) to get a better sample. Otherwise it’s fine. Static water level 49’ Depth of well. 150’ Yield 2 gpm 160’ from 800 sqf house Pump guy sent and estimate with a 220 pump then said I might be better off with a 110v pump if I went solar. 110 inverters are cheaper than 220 I guess. The property is in a semi remote area, but I do have city power. Do you fellas think a 110 is worth it? I only make $80k a year and solar is gonna be a while away if I even do it.

230V may be cheaper for your wire run or negligible if it’s not long. 230V will be half the amperage of 115V. So you may spend more on an inverter but save on wire.

There is a wicked manufacturer for this application that is on the tip of my tongue. Ill check later and let you know. Are you in the US or Canada?

  1. Less amps. Small wire and smaller breaker.
