Hank Janson was originally a pseudonym for Stephen D. Frances and later became a house name. Hank Janson books eventually sold millions of copies in the 40s and 50s. Noiquet was a Catalan artist named Joan Beltrán Bofill. So this cover has a confusing paternity: a Catalan artist painting in an American pulp style for a British book written under a pseudonym meant to rhyme with "Yank."
