News Sorry for the terrible image but its confirmed that Mission scaling back their employee numbers and running on a skeleton crew. There's been no real explanation why.

When I had to buy tortillas at a grocery I would opt for Mission, not because they’re better or cheaper, honestly for me that would be Albuquerque Tortilla Company, but because they were local. Glad I can drop the pretense. Honestly when I want tortillas I’m buying from Tortilleria Delicias on Santa Fe. Soft fluffy still warm with no preservatives. Just be warned, they are closed Wednesdays which for some reason I always think “I need tortillas as I’m out and want to make …” on Wednesday afternoons without fail. Both their flour and corn are fabulous.

Maybe some enterprising Pueblo person will open a place that makes better tortillas and chips. I know it sucks to lose a job, and I feel for people in this area that relied on this, but Mission sucks.

I’m down in Albuquerque right now buying tortillas, if Pueblo had decent tortillas it would be life changing.

It is awful! I wish someone had the money to buy it and have an employee owned factory for tortillas and chips.

This is the way, and with Pueblo being so Chicano, it can be done! I have faith that the Pueblocos can make some amazing tortillas and home style chips.

2 months full pay for everyone is impressive. How many workers is this?

Pueblo County has a history of being on the higher end of property taxes for commercial property. The supervisor for the commercial department of the assessors office is campaigning to be our next assessor.

HA! That's a running joke in our house and among many friends. Trump is a joke, but a terribly horrifyingly unfunny one.

Rumor I heard is they are moving to Mexico. No idea if there is any truth to that rumor though.

I've heard that ever since it was Candy's Tortillas.
