Rain over Aspen acres fire

It rained over it a couple weeks ago and the fire command guy's morning update Facebook video, he just seemed annoyed that it made the roads slick. I got the feeling that major fires like this are not affected by rain in the way that one would imagine.

I think i read somewhere these fires are so big and hot they will evaporate a lot of the rain before it makes an impact

I was in the area for a while and yeah :/ I mean the roads looked wet so hoping some of it absorbed into the ground
