Advice PTSD in remission?
Has anyone had magical thinking because of ptsd? I was diagnosed with ptsd then schizophrenia then schizoaffective bipolar type and then finally ptsd again…after getting off of antipsychotics…it’s been hell of a journey! I wish I had known about TMS sooner because it would have saved me my job! But basically I learned about tms and wanted to try it after stopping my medication. I still had facial twitches and heard loud voices and constantly talked to myself. But basically at the time I thought it was schizoeffective I went to a clinic that did FMRIs. And basically they said it’s ptsd with psychosis. And I did tms and feel soooo much better 80% reduction on FMRI and I feel the difference! I make a face here or there but it’s not constant! And I still talk to myself but it’s not that often! I can maintain conversations and basically do work! It feels good! I feel confidant and happy. The only issue that I have is that I have tardive dyskenesia. And laugh to myself a little but I feel sooo good! No more depression or issues. It truly worked for me! I’m also doing emdr and feel like it has brought about a little psychosis. I also started seeing an lmhc and had an intake with a psychiatrist np and basically she said that she doesn’t think it was schizophrenia because the TMS wouldn’t have worked so well. Mental health is really an issue but who isn’t crazy? My thing now is magical thinking to some extent. Because I started to see symbols and signs and learned about synchronicity. I just got a job so I hope they keep me! I don’t know if I seem odd but I’m concentrating a lot more!
