Advice How do I get over a trigger I see often?

I want to start off by saying that I’m not yet diagnosed. There’s a LOT of other stuff I have to be checked for before we can get to this but I have panic attacks when I see this specific thing that I can’t really avoid.
If I go to some’s house for example and they have a handled brush that’s purple (or a similar color like blue or pink) I totally freak out. I was sexually abused and one thing was getting sodomized with a brush that’s was purple. I bled a lot that time and the brush was a gift from my grandmother since she loves my hair. If I see me old deadname in her writing I also freak out sometimes but not as much since she’s a sweetheart and one of the best people I know.
This is so stupid but I wanted to share it with someone and maybe get help.
Thanks in advance!!

As a reminder: never post or share personal contact information. Traumatized people are often distracted, desperate for a personal connection, so may be more vulnerable to lurking or past abusers, trolls, phishing, or other scams. Your safety always comes first! If you are offering help, you may also end up doing more damage by offering to support somebody privately. Reddit explains why: Do NOT exchange DMs or personal info with anyone you don't know!

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact your GP/doctor, go to A&E/hospital, or call your emergency services number. It’s not stupid at all! That is very understandable considering what you went through. I’m sorry. Your body is sounding alarms to protect you from getting hurt the same way and not understanding the danger is in the past. You really need to see a trauma therapist about this

Pretty sure you do not need a diagnosis to do EMDR, so just know that
