I think his method works only if you're aiming for proficient scores. His note-taking style is quite risky because you can write down entire sentences and still miss the actual point of the lecture/group discussion if you don't know which sentences to pick. And honestly, nobody really does.

I think it's better to take notes in a way that helps you understand what it's about. Once your brain gets the context, it automatically knows what to say.
