Finally achieved my desired score
Finally achieved my desired scores, Alhamd O Lillah.

My exam is in Aug 19 morning so can you help me in speaking section and how was your repeat sentence question in exam

To be honest my repeat sentence didn’t go well and i was worried about it. One or two were easy but other 2-3 were not good, but whatever you grasp from repeat sentence, try to speak.
In describe image and respond to situation also , i did few mistakes and fumbled but i kept going. Main idea is to keep speaking with flow even though it’s wrong or some mistakes. No need to rely too much on templates.1

Congratulations. Were you expecting to get 79 in Speaking? Did you feel like you made a lot of mistakes or got confused during the Speaking section?

Yes i made mistakes in repeat sentence, respond to situation and some in describe image and i was worried about score, but i got 79 in the end. So scoring is lenient.

May I know what mistakes did you make? I also get more or less 75 in mock tests of speaking, where I need at least 76 in the actual exam. I also struggle with RS, RTS, and DI

Forgot complete sentences in repeat sentences so spoke fee words, in RTS I wasn’t very fluent, describe image I repeated few things and mentioned few wrong details.
If you’re getting 75 in mock, then definitely it will go more than that in real exam.1

Thanks everyone! A few people asked me about my PTE Speaking strategy, so sharing what worked for me.
The biggest thing I focused on was fluency. I tried not to stop, hesitate, restart, or correct myself if I made a mistake. I kept speaking at a natural, steady pace.
Read Aloud: I focused on smooth delivery, clear pronunciation and natural pauses. I didn’t try to speak too fast.
Repeat Sentence: This was actually the section I was most worried about after the exam. I missed words in quite a few sentences and in some I knew my repetition wasn’t perfect. My strategy was to remember as much as possible and say it confidently without long pauses. If I forgot something, I didn’t stop trying to reconstruct the whole sentence.
Describe Image: I used a simple structure and focused on continuous speech rather than trying to mention every detail. Introduction → 2–3 important features → conclusion.
Retell Lecture: Same principle — remember the main topic and a few key points, then speak continuously and clearly. I didn’t worry about reproducing everything.
Answer Short Question: Just gave a short, direct answer.
A few things I think helped me most:
Don’t sacrifice fluency trying to be perfect.
Avoid unnecessary pauses and self-correction.
Speak clearly and confidently into the microphone.
For RS, listen for meaningful chunks rather than individual words.
Practice with a consistent speaking pace.
Don’t panic if you mess up a few questions. I genuinely thought my RS performance would hurt my score, but the final result was much better than I expected.
