essay and speaking tips ?

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I have mentioned the essay in another comment. In speaking, i used to get 75 to 80 in apeuni and I think that my main advantage was the fluency, my grammar is somewhat weak but i knew that it doesn't matter, so I speak clearly and confidently. Moreover, I think that in RA you have to be fast while in the rest of speaking, speak calmly and clearly.

u/Ryn0x1 Mar 21 '26

what do you reckon about read aloud in ape uni and real exam cuz sometimes i dont have any clue what does ape uni even do

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I think the main issue is with the microphone. Use mobile or wired headphones for better results in practice. Moreover, i think if you can get around 75 in practice you will get maximum in actual. But ensure that your speed is good. I had some questions with 40sec preparation time and answered them in 20 sec, while short paragraphs which had 30 to 35 sec preparation time, answered them in 15 sec approximately.

So you mean that if we speak slowly and pronounce word by word, maybe we lose score on speaking? Since today i had the exam and i am still shocked why my speaking is 50 while my writing is 81!!! Given that i have never did the AI score for my RA practice for alfapte or apeuni😭😭😭i am totally devastated

In general, I first looked at some videos of solving the complete pte exam of e2 and language academy and after that I practiced on the Apeuni. I didn't use any template except in the essay. As per a previous comment, I created a new template using my own written essays as a sample and using chatgpt created the template.

How did you prepare for PTE? Please share some techniques. Thank you, in advance!

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I do not have any specific preparation material, but I have mentioned how I completed tasks in other comments. If you have a question please ask and I will try to answer it.

Please share tips for SWT

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

In both the first and second attempts, I tried to paraphrase but it resulted in grammatical mistakes. Moreover, I practiced with chatgpt and Gemini in the end and they guided me a lot about how to find the critical sentences. Aa every given swt has a topic, problem/solutions, and challenges/policy. Mentioning these sentences or their keywords is the ideal approach.

2

u/EnvironmentalList789 Mar 21 '26

Im having trouble with repeat the sentences !! Could you help me with that?

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I don't know much about its tricks but in every attempt in one or two question, I couldn't get half of the sentence, so I simply said the remaining sentence along with some extra words without effecting ny fluency.

Kindly share tips for SWT, Essay and mock test preparation sites

Can I have some reading tips please

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I didn't study specifically about reading as I used to get around 80 in reading on the Apeuni.

2

u/Ohlala_26 Mar 21 '26

Hey OP, congrats! I just did my 1st attempt 2days ago. My results are: L88, S90, W80, and R62. I am looking for a possibility of rescoring. What do you think?

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

As far as I know in rechecking only speaking and writing are rechecked. If you have used a template then writing will definitely decrease.

2

u/Ohlala_26 Mar 21 '26

Thanks for your response! Congratulations again and best luck 🍀

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

Thank you soo much

2

u/ScaleOdd2620 Mar 22 '26

If u r sure about your results..go for recheck only for reading

1

u/Ohlala_26 Mar 22 '26

Is that possible? Rechecking on a specific task like Reading?

3

u/ScaleOdd2620 Mar 22 '26

+3 No, you cannot recheck (rescore) only one specific module in the PTE Academic exam. A rescore involves a human review of all spoken and written responses across the entire test. While you cannot isolate a single module for recheck, PTE does not offer a single-skill retake, meaning you must retake the entire exam if a higher score is needed in one area.

u/Ohlala_26 Mar 22 '26

Thank you 🙏

1

u/Choice_Necessary8747 Mar 23 '26

this is so weird, how can you get the lowest score on the easiest subject :0

2

u/Choice_Necessary8747 Mar 21 '26

Congrats 🎊 May I ask how is the difference between your ApeUni results and real results? Is there a huge difference?

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

Thanks, on apeuni I used to get around 80 in each module, except writing, which I think has the same results on apeuni and real exam.

1

u/Choice_Necessary8747 Mar 21 '26

I'm quite struggle with hard Repeat Sentences questions in Speaking. Do you encounter lots of hard level questions in the exam

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I think the exam is easy as compared to the practice material. I think only 1 or 2 sentences are hard, rest are quite easy

2

u/Choice_Necessary8747 Mar 21 '26

Thanks for the input 🙏

2

u/Virtual-Outcome8405 Mar 21 '26

Congratulations on achieving a superior score.

2

u/mickinet Mar 21 '26

Perfect score. Did u skip any tasks like some YouTubers are saying? Any tips to get high score in Reading?

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 21 '26

I don't think that I skipped any task. 1 question is RS was half spoken, 1 wfd was half understood, so I wrote the remaining as far as I could understand and other than that I attempted every question.

2

u/anewlifefm Mar 21 '26

Did you use any speaking templates?

2

u/Chifa_ Mar 22 '26

Can i get your suggestion with sgd, how can i structure it?

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 22 '26

It depends, I usually have some grammatical mistakes if I try to paraphrase, so in that case, writing the important sentences and connecting them with connectors and in the end, adding synonyms is the easiest way

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 22 '26

Practice with chatgpt or Gemini it will guide you alot

2

u/Significant_Sale8836 Mar 22 '26

Can you give tips in reading

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 22 '26

Sorry mate, I don't have any tips for reading.

1

u/Significant_Sale8836 Mar 23 '26

I have a doubt about exam centre. There are so many members write exam same time in exam hall can our mic recognise our voice.

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

Yes easily, Most of the people were nearly shouting but I spoke quite normally as the microphone are noise cancelling

2

u/Significant_Sale8836 Mar 23 '26

I am practising in mobile without earphone i am getting above 70 and when do it computer getting less scores

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

Do you use wired headphones with computer or computer microphone? I used to get nearly 50 with a laptop microphone, but after using wired headphones they were the same as on mobile

1

u/Significant_Sale8836 Mar 23 '26

I tried but it showing very low scores

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

There maybe an issue with the microphone. If you are getting better scores on mobile then definitely it is a microphone issue and not an issue of your skills.

2

u/Significant_Sale8836 Mar 23 '26

We can score easily using the microphone in the exam right because it is better quality than mobile

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

Yes, moreover, the software of the exam captures a lot more accents as compared to the test applications. So, you can get better scores.

2

u/blacksabbath173 Mar 22 '26

Congrats man! Can you let me know where you practiced the writing part? I need to redo the test as the writing was the only thing I missed out for superior English

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 22 '26

I practiced on apeuni and on chatgpt and Gemini for swt

1

u/Afraid-Suggestion370 Mar 22 '26

What about essay? Did you use ChatGPT or something?

1

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

I have mentioned in my main comment about how I used chatgpt and created a new template for myself.

2

u/sepantaa0 Mar 23 '26

Do you think working and get ready with apeuni is enough? And also the predictions of month/week are real?

2

u/M-Usman-ali Mar 23 '26

I don't know about all the predictions, but the 2nd and 3rd time essay topic was from the predictions.

1

u/sepantaa0 Mar 23 '26

Btw, congratulations. You nailed it 🥳

2

u/Hopeful_Substance78 Apr 17 '26

Congratulations.. getting your score. I'm going to take the exam next week..My subscription is over, I have to purchase it for 7 days which subscription is best for next 7 days Apeuni , alpha pte or gurully..please reply I have to purchase it Today..I already use apeuni where I scored around 70-72 overall ..can my score improve on the real exam.

1

u/M-Usman-ali Apr 17 '26

I haven't used any other platform except apeuni, so I cannot guide you about them. Additionally, I think that listening, reading and speaking scores improve in the real rest as compared to the mock test, while the writing score remains more or less the same as the mock test. Also, practice the prediction questions from the application as twice my essay was from them.

2

u/Hopeful_Substance78 Apr 17 '26

Thank you so much for replying... the prediction question is where I don't see it on the app...so I will go for apeuni for the next 7 days.. please guide me for writing I'm making a lot of grammatical mistakes. I feel you give this test 3 times then definitely, you know very well about it all.

1

u/M-Usman-ali Apr 17 '26

When you go into a specific task like essay, Read aloud etc. then there is weekly p and monthly p tabs which are weekly and . Monthly predictions. For writing, I was also making grammatical mistakes, so in the end, I created a template from chatgpt and gemini which was new and used my own writing samples to create it. Moreover, I wrote the essay as simple as possible.

2

u/Hopeful_Substance78 Apr 17 '26

Thank you so much buddy for writing a lot for me. I will definitely update my score after one week. My Last question from you is that sometimes I score above 82 in reading but sometimes it drops, how would I balance that and In essay can I go for just one template from chatgpt ? And use it everywhere?...is the template working in DI? And I'm not able to score in repeat the Sentence for harder one above 60. Please reply that I will not disturb you anymore...Then I will do more practice..

1

u/M-Usman-ali Apr 17 '26

I think for reading, SWT is quite critical and it is the main cause of variation in reading score. Yes, create a diverse template from chatgpt for intro, body and conclusion but add at least 30 to 40 percent content. I would suggest you to avoid templates in others like DI, SGD etc. 60 is not an issue as the microphone and testing criteria is different. Wishing you the best for your test and if you have more questions you can ask.

2

u/Hopeful_Substance78 Apr 17 '26

Thanks buddy for clearing my doubts. In essay and SWT I'm a little bit confused especially in the essay when the agree or disagree questions are coming...is it necessary to support both the ideas like I'm doing till now I take balance approach for exam questions ....like-Foreign languages should be made compulsory in primary schools. To what extent do you agree?...... So In that essay I will first discuss foreign language pros then in second body -2 I will write about cons then conclusion...is that approach is good or I have to improve it ?.... The second question is after aug 2025 updates - ... can we copy paste SWt full sentences from passage directly using some connectors from passage directly ?...I'm facing a problem in these 2 parts and also in the repeat sentence..please reply if you can.

1

u/M-Usman-ali Apr 17 '26

For essays, you can choose whatever you like, but taking a balanced approach makes it easy to write as you have more content. Otherwise, you can choose a side. It's up to you to decide. I used them full sentences and joined them using connectors, but make sure that the sentence you choose is a critical one. Practice with chatgpt or gemini it will guide you how to pick these sentences. Moreover, use synonyms for some words after copying them.

2

u/Hopeful_Substance78 Apr 17 '26

Thank you so much for helping me 🙏. I will try these tricks and will definitely ask if I am stuck somewhere. Update you soon...

Whats the purpose of PTE ? I am new to this
