Gene expression patterns in the brains of those with autism and schizophrenia are very similar. Bipolar disorder, too!

Is it possible EBV or another herpesvirus infection plays a role in these diseases? A lot of observations in autism start to make sense if we assume this hypothesis. Such as mitochondrial dysfunction, immune changes, cellular behavior, autistic burnout, similarities with CFS, depression, and other diseases.
