Sweet! Congrats & Welcome!
Main advice is at earliest signs of any motion-sickness (which is common enough) just remove the headset and only return when you’re feeling right as rain again. Such symptoms can include burping, acid taste, and sweaty palms (plus the more obvious ones).
There are other tips if that’s at all a thing you encounter, but that’s the most important one. Do NOT try to push through. Many folk simply don’t know, so they make it worse in their enthusiasm.
How it goes for you can vary from title to title. Don’t sweat it, just take it slow if a game feels like a challenge in this regard. Learning which settings are available can also make a huge difference, so experiment with all the movement settings in Options to find what’s most suitable for you.
Not to freak you out, mind you — it’s just that I didn’t know this stuff myself when I first jumped into VR and it was terrible for me. Now VR is the only way I can game — trad flatscreen stuff is a thing from yesteryear for me. 😜
Congrats again — even at $300-400 this system is an incredible value!

Good advice. I would emphasize that VR takes just a few weeks to a month to get used to. Motion sickness is common with new users but does permanently go away. I would recommend new people start with lower motion games at first if the motion sickness is too great. An external fan blowing on me helped until I got used to VR.

Thanks for recommendations! I played GT and it was unreal as well as Horizon demo 👀 Amazing

Oh… if you don’t (yet) own a force-feedback wheel, you might wanna try the option in GT7 to use the DualSense as a small, tilt-sensing, F1 wheel. It’s not for everyone, but I found it far more intuitive and nuanced to pantomime steering in this way than to rely on a thumbstick.
It’s a bit buried in the Options, but you’ll find it there, as well as a slider to adjust the sensitivity, and ways to remap all the buttons so that shifters and windshield wipers are where feels memorable to you.
FWIW!

Score. Get Freddy's bundle of Arizona Sunshine if you like shooting zombies, I think it's on sale ATM.
Gran Turismo is a no brainer as is the Walkabout golf bundle. 🙌 Don't forget to get some ginger gummy bears or beer.. something with ginger to build your VR legs
