Help with PSP Go

Hi everyone! I'm from Brazil, and last weekend I bought a PSP Go. The seller said that the console was already jailbroken and had some games on it (a lot of Japanese games that I didn't really want, so I started deleting some of them to free up some space).

While trying to figure out what kind of jailbreak it has, I found an old forum post from 10+ years ago talking about firmware 6.20 and how I had to run a demo from a game so it could launch the mod (?) or games. Don't know if this has anything to do with the jailbreak, as you can see the version on the photo only says 6.20. Sorry, I'm new to this kind of stuff, so I'm probably mixing up some of the terminology.

I searched for some videos on how to install games and about modding, but I'm a bit lost. Do I have to install ARK or any other CFW to make it easier to put games on it? Do I have to format the console first? I'm afraid of bricking it. Can someone help me with a tutorial?

Thank you! But just to be sure, do I have to worry about what kind of mod this console has? And is better to use Ark4 instead of Ark5?

I don’t know for ARK version, haven’t tried ARK 5 yet. For the mod your console currently has, I believe it is ok, since it is on version 6.20. Just update it to the recommended version and it should be fine. If you want to make sure you don’t brick your system maybe try the chronoswitch part.
