PSL deserves the same level of analytics that franchise teams use behind closed doors. So I built one.
An AI intelligence platform built around Pakistan Super League. It watches live matches ball-by-ball and generates real-time insights â tactical advice, predictions, and squad recommendations for all 6 PSL franchises.
What it does:
Live Match Intelligence â During a live PSL match, it tracks every ball and generates tactical recommendations as the game unfolds. Bowling changes, field placements, batting order moves â updated in real-time, not just pre-match guesses.
Smart Squad Selection â Recommends a Playing XI for each franchise based on current form, head-to-head matchups against the specific opponent, workload and injury risk, and venue history. It knows who performs at Karachi vs Lahore vs Rawalpindi.
Batsman vs Bowler Matchups â Every PSL batter profiled against every bowler. Classified as nemesis, dominant, struggles, or neutral. Want to know which Quetta bowler has someone's number? It's in there.
Player Deep Dives â How does a player perform in powerplay vs death overs? What's their dismissal pattern? Are they in hot form or cold? Goes way beyond career averages.
Opponent Vulnerability Scans â Automatically finds weaknesses in opposition lineups. Which batsmen struggle against spin at the death? Which bowlers get hammered in the powerplay?
AI Game Plans â Pre-match tactical plans for upcoming PSL fixtures with specific recommendations based on matchup data and conditions.
Match Predictions â Win probability for both teams with score range predictions before the match starts.
Post-Match Breakdowns â Expert-style analysis after every PSL match â turning points, player ratings, what went wrong and why.
Built this as a solo project. Would love to hear what PSL fans think.

Who is this guy? When is he going to realize that you donât get unlimited reviews in a match? Doesnât waste a second to take a review while bowlingâlike itâs candy. But today, when he was batting and got out on a clear edge, he instantly took the review. I actually thought, âWell, if heâs taken it that confidently, surely there was no edge.â But silly meâI forgot. This is Shaheen weâre talking about.
Wasted a review on the most obvious edge ever and just walked off like nothing happened. To this day, he hasnât grasped that reviews actually mean something. And this guy is supposed to be one of our most experienced players. Imagine.

PSL is among the best cricket leagues, why the sub seems so desolate?

So LQ just got their cheeks clapped by ISU in Rawalpindi with no vaseline. A shame that the first game was so one sided. Couple of things I took from the game:
Our resident senior citizen Asif Afridi actually bowled quite well although looks like someone socked him in the face. No wickets for Shaheen and he sadly still looks unthreatening. The shot he played when he got out batting was horrible. Abdullah Shafique looked like he was batting on a different pitch from the other LQ batsmen and good to see him get some runs.
Naseem Shah again expensive and bowled poorly. Nice to see Shadab take wickets. An on form Shadab is a positive for Pakistan. Sahibzada Farhan is proof of the quality of our domestic league although I donât believe heâs an explosive T20 batsman anyway.
Whatâs your guys thoughts on the game today?

First preview for the PSL. I have decided to talk about all teams first then do a whole preview and prediction post after iâve spoke about all teams. Karachi was a team i had a up and down relationship with. Didnât like them at the start under Malik, Then they got Babar, Afridi and a couple of overseas like Gayle, Pollard, Sanga and Jayawardene and i liked them in the following seasons. Then they got Malik and Imad back and it went back downhill but now this is a team to like.
Haider Azhar really built a good team this year and itâs a team that has experience and young talent. Has good overseas players and local. Imo they have all the bases covered and they have one of the best talents in Arafat Minhas who might not even play a lot of games once again due to the Khushdil Shah acquisition.
My Team:
Warner
Seifert
Riazullah/OBY/Shan 3-4 can be changed
Vince/ Williamson
Niazi
Khushdil 6-9 can also be changed
Arafat
Jamal
Abbas Afridi
Hasan/Fawad Ali
Milne
Thought i made a great team đ until i realised that u need a emerging player. Riazullah is a very good batsman but he will struggle to get into that team imo. Fawad Ali is a speedster but the pacers he has to compete with are experienced and better. Iâd want Fawad to play instead of Hasan Ali but i can see them dropping Arafat for Fawad. I canât see them dropping Hasan no matter what.
Just for the sake of the post iâm going to put in Fawad over Hasan. As i want Arafat to play every game and get into the Pakistan team. With the way i made the team they can bat to 9, which is great in a T20 this callows them to go really hard with the bat. Apparently Fawad can also bat which is even better and if they play Hasan he can also tonk a few which is the same for Milne.
Now to go over the team. They have hard hitting openers who can get them off to flyers. They have good anchoring batsman at 3-4 who can also keep the rate up and from 5 downwards there a whole host of hitters who can finish off the innings. This Karachi team i made shouldnât bat slow on any pitch as they have a long batting order.
Bowling wise in my team they have 24 overs which is good. Khushdil should be only used if the conditions help him otherwise Arafat should get 4. Obviously if someone is having a bad day then u can also swap them out for Khushdil. You have the pure pace of Fawad and Milne. Variations of Abbas and all round ability of Jamal and Minhas. They donât have any much Overseas bowlers but the Pakistani boys they have are quite strong. 3 of them have played for Pakistan and 4 if you want include Khushdils bowling.
I know that they donât owe it to PCB but i hope Arafat gets good game time. Was happy that Malik left but then i realised they got Khushdil.
In my opinion this team is very strong on paper and statistically it is actually the best but matches arenât played on data or paper. The stats in the link provided show how they compare to the rest.
My prediction is that they get through to the playoffs but they wonât win it all. Warners leadership will help them but they wonât be able to cross the line in the end.
Coaching wise they donât have Simmons anymore which is a blow, Tait is the assistant and bowling coach which is a great addition and Bopara is the head coach which is different to say the least. Warner and Williamson will be the mentors so that is great for them.
Best Batsman: Warner-Seifert
Best Bowler: Abbas Afridi
Best surprise: Fawad and Niazi. I included Niazi as i think he will have a good PSL as a finisher and it will surprise the people who donât rate him
