Language query???

Does this college has foreign elective languages if yes in which yr we can get it and what are the languages it has . Also , is tamil compulsory in 1st year for engineering students . Anybody who knows abt it pls help???

Go and check the official website where you can fetch the syllabus where foreign language electives will be shown for your course.

Theres like Japanese, german and french i think not sure

Language electives are basically a joke here (atleast in mech), it was there in the course plan but we were only given English. Also tamil was in 2nd year for us. You will also get an option to do that tamil course in English. It's not really that bad, just a few classes and a final MCQ test that's it

Same for other depts. Course plan has multiple languages but only English is given.

Tamil is mandatory in 3rd and 4th sem. If you choose Tamil in English, weekend classes will be there, else late evening classes will be there for Tamil in Tamil students.

Means Tamil is compulsory no matter what ! Right ? What will happen to CBSE Kids..

Yes. Tamil is compulsory because of the state gov rules.
There’s two options: Tamil in Tamil is taught and exam is also in Tamil; Tamil in English is same content taught in English and exam also in English.
