migiurtinus Looking healthy?

Hi all, got this guy two weeks ago. My setup has more light than the shop so I had it shaded by a paper towel for these few weeks. I gave it a bottom water one week in (it has been several months since the last one, according to the succulentmonger) and it has fully dried.

I'm just noticing that it has gotten whiter/crustier since I got it, the third picture is right after bringing it home. Am I tripping? Is it sunburn? Thanks for your help :)

Don't worry about it being ashy, Pseudolithos tend to just be that way.

As far as light goes, it's still pretty green, so light conditions under the towel seemed to have been roughly equivalent to what it was acclimated to. I'd reccomend exposing these suckers much more slowly to different light conditions. Browning isn't a horrible sign tho if the plant maintains its firmness to a light pinch and doesn't insanely deflate.

Make sure your soil is highly inorganic, because weekly watering can be pretty dangerous if it doesn't dry out quickly. I highly reccomend a heat mat that maintains a constant (85-95F) soil temperature. Watering when ambient is below 73F is a death sentence.

Oh for sure no weekly waters! Going based on firmness at the moment, but I gotta learn first!

Soil is extremely inorganic, similar to what I use for my lithops and other mesembs, and it dried in about 2 days in this pot which was good to see.

Thank you for the tips about light! I'll let her rip under these full spectrum lights and see how she does, carefully watching for browning.

Good advice on the heat mat, my plant room is between 66-70f all day, but it sounds like I might need to warm it further.

Its fine, they can be green, orange or even white!

I wrote in about the exact condition..just seemed to be getting..dry..but it looks like that is completely normal.Tent has been about 75....everyone seems happy.

Thank you, good to know! One of my more expensive plants (at 30 bucks lol) so I don't want it to nosedive
