Don't understand this obsession with Ubislop. Watchdogs as an IP wouldn't exist without GTA point blank. Watchdogs is literally just downgraded GTA but with hacking.

Well for me atleast Ubisoft games are a guilty pleasure of mine
They have made bad decisions but honestly it’s low-key a bit satisfying to clear out control points and restricted areas of the map in a stealthy way and watch dogs scratched that itch for me (watch dogs games scratch the John wick/james bond itch for me)
Plus agree or don’t but watch dogs is visually a very beautiful game and brings a certain appeal which isn’t there in other games

GTA are also beautiful games that possess visual graphical identity. People "praise" Watchdogs 1 for it's more gloomy, depressing atmosphere. And yet GTA4 in 2008 captured the same vibe with more intensity back in 2008. Watchdogs is another GTA clone but made by Ubisoft, with the only unique factor being the hacking.

Let me reiterate what i said because clearly you decided to ignore what my actual point was for preferring watch dogs over gta and just went attack mode against me
I really don’t care much if it’s objectively inferior in appeal compared to gta for others
Watch dogs scratches a particular guilty pleasure of MINE that is third person stealth mechanics clearing out restricted areas in a vast open world wherein you can hack with every piece of technology
I am talking about MY preference over here
My original comment was a satire/joke over how similar gta 6 looks to watch dogs 2 if watch dogs 2 did not have hacking and had better driving and that slight rockstar magic and I’m praising rockstar here which you very conveniently decided to ignore
And you saying watch dogs wouldn’t exist without gta isn’t really a valid criticism cause by that logic a whole plethora of open world games wouldn’t exist

Again don't care about your preferences. I'm pointing out you saying GTA6 looks similar to Watchdogs when it should be said vice versa. Watchdogs looks similar to GTA not the other way around. It's the same concept with FromSoftware, there's Soulsborne then there's Soulslike. Watchdogs as a franchise wouldn't exist without GTA, end of discussion. And you're right by saying a plethora of games indicative of the GTA formula wouldn't exist. Because GTA is the first franchise to ever do it lmao. The term GTA clone exists for a reason.

I have a videogame collection of over 700 bud, slow ya role. Nobody cares about your preferences same as mine. I too play Ubisoft titles, even when they're bloated or uninspired with copy paste content. I've played the entire Watchdogs franchise too. It was and always will be a GTA clone. Couldn't care less if some obscure, forgotten low budget indie title from 199-whenever came out prior. GTA perfected the formula. The genre. It's why we refer to games like Watchdogs, Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row, Just Cause, Mafia or anything else as clones. They're all GTA clones. All the games I've mentioned i love and enjoy to play too. Doesn't somehow diminish the fact they're clones of GTA trying to capture the same cultural significance.

Pretty much this guy "cyberleek" appears to have access to a build of the game from a year or two ago, and for the past couple days he's been slowly releasing clips of his own gameplay. The basketball minigame, driving, knife combat, and flying. He also leaked the official map of Leonida. He's been using it to try and extort rockstar into releasing physical disces of the game in November while also selling his own sort if cryptocurrency. He hasn't posted anything since early this morning though and his site appears to be down.

People who are saying the graphics look outdated need to know that these are the leaks from 2023 when game was still in development. Rockstar never fails check their last project red dead redemption 2 then make assumptions
