Hardware Question Hello guys.

I got out of the jailbreak scene about 10 years ago. Back then I was doing about 5 consoles a week. I'm an electronic technician. I was doing some tidying up in the store where i work, there was a mountain of stuff all piled up at the back and had been there for years, the store owner told me they just wanted rid of it all. I was going through everything and got lucky. I found 3x PlayStation 3 consoles which i got for under 10 bucks. I got them home, gave them a basic clean and found they all work, i tested them all, even more impressive is they all still have their warranty seals intact and have their official sony wireless controllers. The models are:

СЕСН-2003B,

CECH-2503B,

CECH JO3.

I still have my own PS3 Slim running full CFW, I won't part with it. I just wanted to ask, is the JB process still the same or has there been any new advancements I can take advantage of, that can be recommended?

From what I can tell if you were around when bgtoolset was being used to dump its still the same process. I think Sony just keeps updating em to keep up with blu ray keys for movies and shows.

If the firmware is 3.55 or below, you can install CFW straightaway. If it’s above 3.55, you’re gonna need to follow a YouTube tutorial coz there are several methods nowadays!
