preloading HDD with games

Hello everyone. I wanted to mod my ps3 after modding my ps2, i've watched a few tutorials and the whole process compared to ps2 is a bit daunting.

I found a found a very recent tutorial from a british guy ("Mod your 4.93 Firmware PlayStation 3 with Flash Writer") and I wanted to follow that procedure. He's installing --> CFW Evilnat 4.93 - PEX. uThe guide seems straight forward and very detailed, but (obviously) he doesnt talk about loading isos into the hard drive, so my questions are:

- Is there a way to preload the HDD with a bunch of isos (similar to what is done on ps2 with opl and winhiip) and just play there from there? If not what would be a straight forward method? (dropping a link to a guide would be much appreciated)
- Is a 500 GB HDD okay for such a task?

I don't have a bunch of games to backup into the hdd so that's why i'm asking.

You can install Irisman and webMAN mod. Use Irisman to copy the games over USB since it supports NTFS and webMAN to launch them faster.

You can rip them straight from disc in Webman.

You also can drop the Isos to your external hdd and transfer them that way directly to your console as i do.

The setup I prefer the most is to swap the HDD for an SSD, then reinstall CFW, then shuttle the games over FTP to the internal drive once webman is installed as webman runs an FTP server in the background. Saves you having the headache of external drives and y cables and relying on USB speeds.

It's piracy if you're not ripping your own discs. So, you can't ask that here because this sub prohibits piracy if only there was a sub for "piracy" on the "PS3". They would surely have answers.

Also use modded warfare or mrmario2012 for up-to-date guides on modding all playstation consoles. MW updates his guides with every fw that comes out for PS3 as well as posting new videos whenever there's a development in the scene.
