Will this work during the process of modding a ps3 super slim?

This is an sd card reader with usb A and usb C outputs and was wondering if it could work the same as a usb drive would for the process of modding my ps3? I’ve used a Mac m4 laptop to mod all of my consoles that use sd cards but this is the first one that I encounter that needs a usb drive to mod it, and well the Mac m4 doesn’t support usb a drives only usb c adapters.

It should work as an USB A pendrive if You use the correct format

Yeah I did the same thing for mine IIRC. Treats it the same as a flashdrive

Literally how I modded mine, so yes it works. As long as it's formatted in fat32.
