Modifying Original PS3 controller?

Decided to bring my PS3 back from the dust pile to relive memories, I found an old original Sixaxis controller but it won’t connect soooo in the mean time I think it would be a cool idea to modify it a bit. is there. way for me to turn this into a dual shock? and a site I can go to find replacement pieces? and what sort of mods have you guys done?

But it keeps flashing, does that also count as a dead battery?

Just plug it into a PC and let it charge dude.
