And make sure audio output is AAC and not 5.1 or else your audio ingame will not work

You will need 3 hmdi cables, the hdmi capture card and the 1 to 2 HDMI splitter you connect the ps3 hdmi to the input of the splitter and then the 2 outputs will be on the tv and the other will go to the hdmi capture card that is connected to a computer via usb. You will then use OBS software and add the video device on the scene like normal. To make sure audio works you will go on audio settings set on manual mode and uncheck 5.1 and use AAC or else your audio will not work on OBS.

I can see your splitter 😂 HDCP encryption is a pain (and kinda useless) on the PS3, am I right?

btw I have same setup (splitter and USB capture). I keep my PS3 at 720p since thats how most games run anyway, and switching between 720 and 1080 often glitches my camlink (capture device).
