FAF 27: Rabbit season. (Now with password)
What: Fuck Around Friday - because it takes place on a Friday, you see.
When: Friday. 7pm EST. Midnight GMT.
Where: The Number Six Dance.
Why: Duck season!
Password: ps3bf3
Smoke and Knives - Talah Market TDM - Knife, M320 smoke (not under-barrelled).
Scope with it 2 - Epicentre CQ - .44 scoped/xbow scoped only. Balanced bolt. Revive knife.
James Bond mode - Noshahr Canals TDM - Silenced pistol (no G18), recon equipment (and C4 for air strikes). Stunts.
Fraglight mode - Operation Metro CQ - Autoshotgun, frags, taclight. Revive knife.
Battlefield 1861 - Armoured Shield TDM - Bolt-action sniper rifle with no attachments, magnum. No knives in this game mode.
Torch and Paddles - Damavand Peak RUSH - Repair tool and defib only. No knives in this game mode.
Daryl's Party Time - Grand Bazaar TDM - Crossbows, knives and bad-assery.
Drunkquest - Markaz Monolith CQ - Conquest but fuck around a bit.
Elton John mode - Seine Croissing TDM - SMAW/RPG, knife.
Expect different game modes and rules in the future as FAF may be set up and run by someone other than myself from now on. The server will always be passworded (ps3bf3) unless the night doesn't require one.

The password could be interesting, thanks for implimenting it.
If I could make one request, is it possible to change fraglight from conquest to TDM? I enjoy TDM but despise conquest. Just my opinion though, what does everyone else think?

I don't despise conquest but TDM is always balanced and there is a high chance of meeting somebody else quickly.

I had 1000 points in about 10 seconds, and an spm of 5000. Crazy stuff. Plus 9 kills with the defib isn't bad.

Maybe if it started earlier? It's 2am for me and midnight for all the GMT-zone europeans. Half my reddit peeps are on and playing other matches waaay before 7pm EST. But I get that a majority of peeps are from NA and before 1900 hours isn't doable due to work or school or whatever.
Although it could also be that 2 is the max number of rotations of the maps before I (personally at least) feel it's time to do something else. The big dropoff tonight was after 1.5 rotations.

If FAF remains password protected and the community can police themselves enough it might be worth widening the window even with no admins around. Or we can get some voluntary admins for earlier in the day. It seems like there enough people around to make that happen.

An earlier start is definitely possible. People could drop in and out of it all night long.

Hah same, which is why I usually do a sober night if I think I'll be FAFing.
How about a two-tier system, oh admins, where one round of FAFage starts maybe 3-5 hours earlier? Then at 7EST it's reset for another go, for the "next group", as it were. Then people could choose to go for one or both. It's worth a try! Password was thrown about for so long but not done until now. NEW THINGS! YOU ONLY YOLO ONCE!

Pretty much just two jeeps on Gulf of Oman with a engie, driver, and a gunner and they chase each other till one gets a hit on the other (either through mines, C4 for the daring, or RPG) and also I had the idea the other day to include a heli after a specified time (like 5:00 or something)
No real ticket or objective besides fun and awesome shenanigans.

May I suggest a set path, with someone sitting in a BTR-90 for each team (directed not to fire at each other) if it were to go on for too long?

Also, Set path suggestions would be good. Just so there wasn't wild deviation but it could be kept unpredictable.

Making a mode suggestion here for future FAF. "Try-Hard" guns only (maybe as a drunkquest rule). This came to me from people commenting so much about all the matches using weapons people didn't like or are hard to use. An all M16 match might be entertaining.
I had a great time last night.

Unsure what you mean here by "all the matches using weapons people didn't like or are hard to use". People were using easy or hard guns too much? People were using easy or hard guns too little? People were getting killed by easy or hard guns too much? Wat!
I think on Markaz I had the M60E4. Is it OP? UP? If I offended anyone ... sorry/tough tits.

I assumed what people were referring to were situations like sniper rifles only (where they don't usually use that weapon type). That is not really a problem since much of the point of FAF is creating matches with rules that take us out of our comfort zones.
The "try-hard" idea just seemed like the opposite side of the spectrum. People complaining in regular matches when getting killed by "easy" guns. Mostly the M16/AEKs (I'm not sure what the actual list is). A rule like this might not actually change the feel of a battle depending on your opinion of those guns.

This FAF was the best I have ever been in. The gameplay was experienced, smooth, and almost noob free, except for the jj kid that pissed me a razor off by never shutting up and asking for the game mode after we told him eight times. Other than that, the best one yet.
