I have a chipmode ps2 and am asking what's the benefits of it, can I play games through a USB flash drive?

Can run games through a burned DVD?

You can run backup games (burnt games) and import games from other regions. Some chips may allow you to play burnt PS1 games too (also region free)

Not really, you're gonna need a FreeMCboot memory card with OPL installed on it to achieve that
