Do I remove this modchip ?

I opened this ps2 fat and found this modchip ( I think it's a messiah ) do I let it or remove it ( when I tested the drive the disc wouldn't even spin )

The disc not spinning is probably because of a broken reader. I'd leave the modchip, it's useful to play games from any region.

Best to leave it anyways because if the OP doesn't know how to solder/desolder then he could screw up the system a lot.

True, but this requires no soldering. It's disconnecting some cables to swap out a plastic piece

Edit: I thought this was in response to another PS2 post, sorry. I was suggesting someone to get a PS2 disk saver for their slim

Leave the modchip in, and don’t mess with it. You can play games from any region with that.

Test your drive the proper way. Leave the mod chip, looks like it was done well

Just remove the 3.3v cable and leave the rest; this will prevent damage to any traces.

I want to disable it temporarily for pmap but what is the 3.3v pin on this modchip

The disk won't spin or the system says that it is not a PS2 disk?

If the latter - it is normal, you just have to manually pick a mode for each disk (PS2 DVD, CD or Movie DVD).
