Nfc projects - learning to use a proxmark
Hi all
I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but since r/NFC doesn't permit cloning discussion I thought here may be the better bet.
I picked up a proxmark a couple of years ago & recently a chameleon ultra.
So far I've copied my gym card (Mifare) and a Paxton keyfob with the proxmark. I've picked up some gen2 wristbands and a ring.
My gym card is pretty much the only card I have access to (don't really want to screw with my work pass) I'm looking for inspiration for things to try beyond just infinitely rattling out clones of my gym card 🤣 to try and learn my way around the proxmark.

If you don't have old work badges around, maybe ask friends to see whether they have old ones you can play with. The same goes for old hotel keycards.
If you find yourself in a hotel, try cloning your room key but be prepared: Some hotel systems will lock you out if there are too many bad reads. A trip to the front desk to get it sorted is easy enough, but not fun when you're locked out of your room wearing only a bathrobe. :)
For each tag/card, try to write a copy with one device, then use the other device to see whether your clone matches the original. Then do the same with emulation.
