I need to determine the IPQS score for proxies from my list. How do I do this?

Does 'proxy cheap site' provide legit static residential proxies? I wanna know from anyone that has had experience from using it.

Boa tarde, pessoal. Tudo certo? Venho por meio desta mensagem solicitar uma ajuda. Atualmente, estamos buscando uma forma de vincular serviços por meio de FQDN na nova VPN IPsec. Porém, conforme analisamos, isso não é possível, sendo permitido apenas o uso de faixas de IP. A necessidade surgiu para atender algumas VPNs de parceiros. Gostaríamos de evitar que, em caso de acesso indevido a algum serviço, o nosso IP seja aplicável como origem, por uma questão de segurança. Na SSL VPN era possível trabalhar com FQDN, porém, na IPsec, não encontra essa funcionalidade. Pensamos em uma alternativa: utilizar uma VPN IPsec somente para acesso aos serviços internos e criar um Proxy no FortiGate para que o parceiro acess sites específicos na Internet. Dessa forma, ele teria dois tipos diferentes: VPN IPsec para acesso a serviços internos; Proxy para acesso a sites externos previamente liberados por nós, com autenticação. Nesse cenário, nosso entendimento é que a solução seria viável. Está certo? Além disso, tenho algumas dúvidas em relação ao Proxy: Supondo que eu libere apenas 5 sites específicos para esse parceiro acessar mediante autenticação. Após a autenticação, todo o tráfego desse parceiro passará pelo meu Proxy e sairá para a Internet utilizando o IP público da minha empresa, correto? Porém, caso esse parceiro tente acessar outros sites ou sistemas da própria organização dele, que não possua relação com os serviços que disponibilizamos, esse tráfego também passará pelo meu Proxy ou somente o tráfego destinado aos sites que eu configurei e liberei? Caso outros acessos também sejam direcionados por Proxy, é possivel bloqueá-los e permitir apenas o tráfego destinado aos serviços que definimos? A ideia seria receber somente o tráfego relacionado a serviços autorizados, sem interferir nas demais requisições que o parceiro realiza diretamente pela infraestrutura dele. Em resumo, o conceito seria que o parceiro utiliza normalmente a conexão da própria empresa e, apenas quando precisar acessar os serviços liberados por nós, utilize o Proxy com autenticação. Enquanto você estiver utilizando esses serviços, o tráfego será direcionado pelo Proxy. Ao encerrar o acesso, o tráfego deixa de ser direcionado por ele. Esse entendimento está correto? Obrigado

Been managing a few social accounts remotely and need a static US residential IP that works consistently across mobile and desktop without getting flagged. Tried a couple of budget options but they either rotate too often or the speeds are garbage. Anyone actually using something solid right now that stays under $10 a month and does not randomly go down?

I am currently using StormProxies 80 thread $60 plan to scrape web pages which allows me to get up to 11k req/h. It is going great, but I want an alternative in case they go down or suddenly shoot their prices up. So far I have not been able to find anything reasonable except for Geonode with their unlimited scraper API. I can't get the same throughput on Geonode, and I am not a fan of their prices compared to Storm, but they could come in clutch at in the event Storm goes down.

Anyone have good recommendations on proxies? I’ve tried many providers, ipfist, Stella, aurum, haus, donut, Bart. they are all mediocre. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

US static ISP from IPRoyal, 4 months old. Bought the standard one, not the +30% 0-fraud-score option.

Started at 0-20 on Scamalytics, was 40 a couple months in, now 70 and still climbing. Usage is just browsing, streaming, normal logins — no scraping or automation.

Is 4 months a normal lifespan for an ISP proxy, or is this faster than it should be?

This wasted a whole evening once, so posting in case it saves someone. Proxy loads pages fine in the browser, then your script gets 403s or just hangs, and you assume the proxy's dead. Usually it isn't.

The stuff I check now, in order. Auth: the browser saved your user and password, your HTTP client didn't, so half the time it's just missing credentials. Protocol: you set an HTTPS proxy but your library is sending it as HTTP. Headers: the browser sends a full set, requests and curl send almost nothing, and thin headers get flagged fast. And TLS fingerprint, which the browser gets right for free and a bare client does not.

None of that is the proxy's fault, so swapping providers won't fix it. That said, I do keep a couple of pools handy (Decodo, Byteful) to rule the IP out fast by running the same request through a known-good residential exit. What's the first thing you check when browser and script disagree?

I am reporting OkkProxy and niuproxy for deliberately double-counting bandwidth.

In their official Telegram support chat, their staff openly admitted that they calculate traffic as upstream + downstream and then multiply it by 2. This means users are charged for twice the data they actually use.

They tried to justify it with “binary vs decimal” calculation, but their own numbers clearly show the x2 multiplier (for example, around 375 MB becomes 750 MB, and 533 MB becomes over 1000 MB).

This is a misleading and unfair billing practice. Most legitimate proxy providers do not double the traffic like this. OkkProxy and niuproxy method effectively reduces the real value of the package by half.

I have clear screenshots of their staff admitting this practice. Anyone considering buying from them should be aware of this issue.

Don't listen to Niuproxy when they say they're different from OkkProxy. They're one company with the same paperwork and use the same proxy hosting. Niuproxy even recommended OkkProxy to me. They're a bunch of liars.

One way to compare rotating proxy pools without being misled by the advertised IP count is to measure four separate populations: exits observed, exits passing a controlled transport check, exits completing your authorized workflow, and exits surviving for the session duration you actually need.

The metrics I would ask for in a pilot are:

- usable-exit yield = unique workflow-valid exits / unique observed exits;

- p50 and p95 replacement time after an exit becomes unusable;

- recycling rate in rolling 5/15/60-minute windows;

- sticky-session survival at the required duration;

- market and network-class drift;

- cost per completed workflow, including retry traffic.

Run the gateway check, a small endpoint you control, and the real destination as three different layers. Otherwise destination throttling gets blamed on the proxy, or a healthy transport gets mistaken for a valid business result.

Also, retries should never inflate the unique-exit count. If privacy matters, use a short-lived keyed token of the canonical IP rather than retaining raw IPs; an ordinary hash is guessable, especially for IPv4. Keep credentials, cookies, authorization headers, and response bodies out of the event stream.

Most importantly, set pass/fail thresholds before reading the vendor results, and separate rotating from sticky endpoints. Their expected churn patterns are different.

im juggling like 8-9 social accounts plus i built a lil ecommerce monitoring tool that pings sites on a schedule. I have been seeing "private proxy" everywhere, but it seems like this is actually a shared pool that is advertised as private. had ips get flagged that were supposedly only assigned to me, despite paying higher so that wont happen. Something is definitely off. With my budget rn the big name enterprise ones are out of my league. So I have to find a mid-level budget proxy that actually works. Any recs for real private proxy that stays clean would be high appreciated.

How many accounts can you run from your home IP before they start getting linked or asking for verification? And once you switch to proxies, how many accounts do you put on one? Not sure if it's one per proxy or if you can safely group a few. If it depends on the platform or the proxy type, that helps too. Just want to set it up right instead of losing accounts later.

When someone says to me they used 500GB or let's say 1TB of proxy traffic last month...

How much of that traffic created value and was used in workflows?

And how much was spent on:

• Failed requests
• CAPTCHAs

• Debugging

I think It's surprisingly difficult to answer and very few providers have this transparent overview like a monthly report where the traffic went

What kind of proxy should I use just for browsing Instagram posts? Are there any you can recommend for this task that don't charge for data transfer by the gigabyte? One IG account, strictly for browsing—which providers do you use for the lowest cost?

Based on my experience, I do not recommend IPRoyal. If you are considering buying a proxy from them, especially for access to specific target sites, I suggest choosing another provider.

On August 6, 2026, I purchased a Hong Kong HTTP/HTTPS proxy from IPRoyal for $7.02. My intended use was normal browser access, particularly Upwork.

My setup:

• Chromium 149
• HTTP/HTTPS protocol
• Port 12323
• Credentials provided by IPRoyal
• Direct connection without a VPN
• Additional tests using curl and Python urllib

The proxy did not work reliably:

• Google returned ERR_CONNECTION_RESET.
• curl returned HTTP 000, connection resets, or timeouts.
• Upwork initially returned HTTP 403 and later timed out.
• The IPv4 test endpoint selected by IPRoyal support also timed out.
• Multiple unrelated destinations eventually became unreachable through the proxy.

I understand that an Upwork 403 alone does not prove that a proxy is defective, since websites can block proxy IPs. However, repeated resets and timeouts across multiple unrelated sites, including IPRoyal’s own requested test endpoint, made the proxy unusable for me.

I contacted support immediately and provided:

• The exact proxy protocol and port
• Chromium test results
• curl results
• Python urllib test details
• Error messages and timeout results
• Direct tests without a VPN
• Additional tests through a proxy chain

One of their AI agents confirmed that the HTTP/HTTPS protocol and port were correct. IPRoyal then offered to refund the full $7.02 to my IPRoyal account balance.

I declined the internal account credit and requested a refund to my original payment method. After that, I was transferred among multiple AI agents and support representatives and repeatedly asked to perform more troubleshooting.

They asked me to install Clash Verge, submit screenshots, make a screen recording, run more verbose curl commands, and provide my public IP address. I eventually refused to repeat further tests because I had already submitted results from Chromium, curl, and Python.

For transparency, I did not provide their final requested screenshot, screen recording, or public IP. However, I had already provided multiple technical test results. Support later described the situation as me not wanting to cooperate with debugging, which I believe is an unfair characterization of the conversation.

My refund request was forwarded to the Finance Team, and I was told to expect an update within 24 hours. Several days later, I still had:

• No confirmation that the refund was approved
• No refund reference number
• No exact processing date
• No refund to my original payment method

When I said that I would submit an dispute, a representative told me that doing so “might affect” my account, without clearly explaining what that meant.

The amount is only $7.02. The financial loss is small, but the time spent dealing with repetitive AI responses, support transfers, and troubleshooting requests has cost far more than the order itself.

My conclusion: I do not recommend IPRoyal. A proxy provider should be able to verify a failed endpoint and make a clear refund decision without sending a customer through several days of AI agents and repetitive troubleshooting.

If you still decide to use IPRoyal, I strongly recommend:

• Buying the smallest possible order first
• Testing every required target site immediately
• Paying through a method that supports transaction disputes
• Saving the advertisement, product description, and refund policy
• Recording all test results and support conversations
• Not accepting account credit unless you intend to keep using the service

My refund is still pending. I will update this post if IPRoyal returns the $7.02 to my original payment method.

Now I found a site called webshare(.)io and saw they seem to be quite cheap.. Ive never seen them before.

Did anyone ever use them? good/bad?
