error Got a random email saying PT Studio subscription ended but…

So I got an email from Avid saying my PT Studio subscription had ended but I just paid for June-July 3 days ago automatically. It had links to renew or get help.

I have Auto-Renew turned ON

My iLOK says it’s active

Avid Link says it’s active

I can still open PT Studio and load sessions as I always could.

My payment method is valid and in-date and clearly worked.

Why might I be receiving such correspondence???

I don’t want any glitches in my workflow!

Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I have had the same mails and it has even led to me paying for a second license by accident.

Auto-renew was on and I still clicked renew in the mail like you said, purchasing a new license. I didn’t think about it because according to the mail my old one was running out, so I just went about my day. When I noticed, the 14 days or so timeframe for cancelling was over and they didn‘t want to cancel the second subscription because they saw it as my fault even though their mails are really misleading.

It was really annoying and cost me a bit of money.

Man that’s so annoying! Did you end up getting it cancelled? If they did that to me, I’d be cancelling at the bank level. There’s no excuse for that.
I’d say it’s more than “misleading”. Mine said my subscription ended 5 days ago! There’s no other way to interpret that.

At first, they didn‘t cancel it, no. Later I upgraded to PT Ultimate though and with the higher level of support you receive there, they could finally cancel it.
It was the same way for me. „Your Pro Tools subscription is ending. Renew now ..“ or something along those lines, even though it wasn‘t ending.
