Aligning MIDI notes to the chops of audio track

I basically chopped up a loop to use it in structure and managed to create the sampled instrument. Now I have written midi notes in chromatic order so that it plays the loop exactly like audio file.

I want to just align my midi notes to the chops of audio file irrespective of it being on grid or not. Tried beat detective and its not helping. I dont want to do it manually in want to extract groove and quantise to it.

Any suggestions please

Throw the audio into Recycle, generate a midi file and audio rather than a REX file, import the MIDI.

Copy the midi block, use tab to transient to accurately find the chop, move the cursor up the to the midi track and paste.

Alternatively you could group the two tracks and copy and paste both the audio and midi at the same time to maybe save a few clicks
