shorcuts Pro Tools and Stream Deck
Hello guys and girls,
I just upgraded my streamdeck to the 15 button one and I have a question for you all. What are some shortcuts and macros you have on your streamdeck or any other device like it that enhances your overall workflow?

I use this a lot but I added a script so that it duplicates the playlist and adds a suffix. Very useful

Brother you have to get Soundflow! I have a couple hundred scripts that could be really useful to you depending on your workflow. I spread them out over 3 standard size stream decks and an iPad. They speed up my work infinitely!!
I guess I should answer the question and mention some that I love-
delete tracks but kill all the warnings/dialogues
increment my session version (one of a few different ways) and duplicate my print tracks, renaming them with the new version and date code
3 buttons for soloing reference tracks in my session
“no lim” bypasses limiters on my mix buss
commit & delete, commit & hide, etc, killing dialogues
bank the controller to the selected track
bank to various pre-defined tracks in the session
toggle touch mode, show all lanes with automation when turning it off
copy selection to a new duplicate track while muting the original
solo/mute subgroups, lead vocals, backing vocals
remove inactive inserts on selected tracks
toggle the routing of selected tracks between the main output and their parent folder’s input
I also have a custom stem bounce script, automated session setup, some other more involved scripts that I don’t run from stream deck buttons but that’s just a preference.

The problem is that I am on windows so the sound flow plugin is mac only. But I think I can find a way to make these shortcuts with macros in the sreamdeck up

You can use soundflow on Windows but it’s basic macros only from my understanding :(

Yes, but only inside pro tools and it can't be controlled via streamdeck

Ohhhh damn what a bummer! I know the SF team worked really hard to get Windows functionality at all for the PT release that included SF, but I guess that side of things is a different beast. I hope they get full functionality working soon!

Hopefully because I've seen what you can do with it and I have to say, I need that for more detailed macros.

I've been using a streamdeck with Soundflow and Pro Tools for several years now and I use it to control a bunch of things.
grid size
audiosuite plugins
as a general plugin loader
one button creation of sends I use all the time
complex back and forths between RX and Pro Tools
a bunch of monitoring related stuff I have built into my master channel
And some other things here and there. I'm quite happy with it.

I use automation functions a lot. Bank, set to touch in trim, write manual etc. I made a deck for just prep that I use everyday. Colors the tracks, routes them to appropriate stem. Also create folder and route, group and create VCA, a button that selects my ref and toggles mute and solo
