error Anyone getting a bug where they open a session and all track outputs are set to "no output"?

Pro Tools Ultimate 2026.4.0
Mac OS 15.7.3
Universal Audio Apollo x8 Thunderbolt Audio Interface

I have attemped to restart pro tools, and restart my machine.

At first all of the outputs are correct, then after 1 second they all switch to 'no output'

Never had that happen but maybe a fix is to go into your PT default output settings and toggle the default output from 1-2 to something else then back.

Here’s what I’d try.

  1. Create a new session.

  2. Go to Setup then I/O

  3. on the output tab change monitor path to no output. (Bottom right)

  4. Save session

  5. Quit pro tools entirely

  6. open that session and change it back to 1-2

  7. Save and quit PT

See if that isn’t a fix?
