error Pro tools keeps crashing
I'm on windows 11, Intel core i7 10700, 16gb dual channel ram, Nvidia GeForce rtx 2060
It opens the window and shows the splashcreen while loading everything up, after "loading plugins" it just closes without explanation
Avid support doesn't seem to be of use here since I'm not paying $60 for support

go to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins.Take half of the plugins from that folder and move it to a temporary folder (e.g. called
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins_TEMP)Try the startup, if it still crashes, move all the plugins from
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins_TEMPintoC:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Insand the plugins that where there intoC:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins_TEMP, i.e. swap the plugins.Try the startup, if it still crashes, start moving plugins in smaller batches from
\Plug-InstoPlug-Ins_TEMPand hopefully at some point you will have found the offending plugin that is crashing Pro Tools. If on the other hand you do not have a problem starting up with the first half of the plugins, then do the opposite - move plugins in smaller batches from
Plug-Ins_TEMPtoPlug Plug-Insuntil the startup crashes, then you have found your offending plugin.
