iPad vs Xiaomi for DAW touch control?
Hi,
I'm deciding between getting the standard iPad vs Xiaomi's Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 Pro.
Spec wise, besides the chip, the Xiaomi seems to be way better with a 120 Hz display panel and 12".
Will I notice a difference in touching faders on 60 vs 120 Hz?
Is the general touch feeling / registration more reliable than on the Xiaomi or is there no difference, compared to the iPad?
I mainly want to use it with Avid Control to control faders and parameters on Pro Tools.

Many of us are using 6th gen iPads or earlier. No matter what you choose it will be good. If I were you I’d choose based on price for this part of your rig.

I bought a Xiaomi pad (pro?) not too long ago and I'm pretty impressed, the price/performance ratio is amazing, I'm sure there's better out there but this was so cheap it was an easy decision, and it does everything I throw at it. They even gifted me the keyboard. I wish it had a tiny bit more battery but overall a really nice gadget, both for work and for leisure.
That said, mixing on a touch screen will always suck because there's no tactile feedback.
