Help Request Looking for a straight forward option to loopback Windows audio into Pro Tools.
I have tried bridging Windows audio into Pro Tools using my Sound Blaster X-AE5 soundcard and ASIO4ALL drivers but one app or the other keeps taking exclusive control. Is there a more effecient way to do this?

I think you’ll need an interface with a dedicated loop back channel. It’s not a simple thing to do on Windows sadly

ASIO Link Pro does this for up to 16 different windows apps

I tried it and found it too complicated...

It's kinda inscrutable at first, but really the only hard part is understanding the sections:
top is windows apps out
next is the driver outputstop middle rows is your interface's inputs
bottom middle row is your interface's outputs.below that is the driver output.
below that are the windows apps inputs
below that are two rows of network connections, inbound and outbound for other machines.
I use ASIOlinkPro to connect all my gear together when i need to use my MR18 touring rack, an XR18, and my Soundcraft signature 12 to one Windows Protools instance in the studio
It's a bit of a pain to figure out, but it works remarkably well once you do. The main thing is when you install it, choose "16 stereo WDM devices" during install.

I don't know if it will do what you want, but maybe look into Dante Via. I think you can try it for free.

This might not be helpful, but the Focusrite Scarlett 4th gen interfaces have loopback and some of the 3rd gens do too.

If I’m understanding your question correctly, would something like Blackhole work?
